Brief info

Our story began over 32 years ago when a boy from Utah and a girl from California met for the first time on a study abroad in London. A year later that boy (John) and girl (me) married, moved to Midway and started a family. While our kids were going through school, we realized that my aging parents would need more care. We invited them to move into our home to enjoy the energy that came with raising 1 girl and 5 boys along with all of their friends. This house has seen a lot of love, family gatherings, and the most epic 4th of July parties ever.... just ask the neighbors.

As time went by, my parents passed away, the kids grew up and moved out and we became empty nesters. Midway was an amazing place to raise our family, nestled in the Heber Valley surrounded by the beautiful Wasatch mountains.

After a lot of consideration, we decided to sell our home and downsize somewhere else in town. Caleb saw the listing and told us that our home would be perfect for a residential treatment center for young teenage girls. At first, John and I were a little hesitant because we'd never even considered that idea, however....

Three years later, after overcoming many difficult and significant obstacles, we were finally able to open Cascade Academy. We know that our home, the place where we raised our family and cared for my loving parents, can now transition into a place that can bless the lives of teenage girls who are struggling with anxiety.

Here at Cascade, we have assembled some of the greatest people in the industry to help make this journey possible, and John and I are grateful to be a small part of that. I encourage you to come and tour our home and see for yourself.

Sincerely,
Carol Probst
