The causes and symptoms of anxiety are unique to every person. The treatment for overcoming the trap of anxiety is also individualized based on your daughter’s unique experiences. Your daughter will have a customized treatment plan designed for her unique needs.
Through genetic testing, you will learn about the “transcription errors” in her genetic code which contribute to her anxiety symptoms. The medical team at Cascade Academy will interpret these results and will suggest the best way to treat the symptoms caused by her genetics. This may include things such as specific exercise, nutritional recommendations, vitamins and supplements, or other physical interventions based on her specific genetics.
You and your daughter will work with a licensed mental health clinician to build a specific plan unique to her needs. Her therapist will rely on information you provide to help guide her individualized plan of care and set goals and specific interventions that will be helpful to your daughter. This will include what therapy techniques and models that will specifically work best for your daughter.
Living in the Growth Zone
Research shows that level systems don’t work and may even make anxiety worse. Cascade Academy uses the science of growth and learning to track the right amount of challenge for your daughter. As your daughter learns to move out of her comfort zone, she begins live more consistently in the growth zone. As your daughter gains more experience, she will learn to become comfortable living in a world of discomfort.
Group therapy is a well researched and effective method of treatment for girls with anxiety. Your daughter will have the opportunity to see that she is not alone in her struggle with anxiety and learn to connect with her peers. Seeing the success of others can encourage your daughter to continue pursuing her goals and find success as she challenges her fear and learns to embrace life with courage and joy.
