Elizabeth comes to Cascade Academy with over 15 years of teaching and administrative experience. She received her undergraduate degree from Boston College in Secondary Education and History. Elizabeth went on to attend the Lynch School of Education at Boston College where she received her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction.
Elizabeth started her educational career in 2001 as Director of the Tutoring Learning Center at a private high school in Chicago and she served on numerous committees that were focused on building standard-based approaches to curriculum and literacy. Following her Master’s Degree, she taught in Boston for several years. In 2010 Elizabeth moved to Utah where she worked as a teacher and administrator at Kearns-Saint Ann Catholic School in Salt Lake City. Elizabeth enjoys her role as the Academic Director at Cascade Academy because it provides a unique opportunity to provide a personalized approach to academics.
Elizabeth is married and has a son and a daughter. She enjoys running, swimming, camping, hiking, and traveling. In her spare time Elizabeth likes to run half-marathons and 10ks. She loves being a parent with her husband Jeff and taking her kids swimming, rock climbing and ice-skating. Elizabeth loves traveling and has spent significant time in Ireland. She can’t wait to travel internationally with her kids and to introduce them to their Irish family.
