Kristen Brown, Ph.D, APRN
Brief info

Dr. Kristen Brown received her doctorate in nursing practice from the University of Utah specializing in psychiatric mental health. Kristen has worked in the mental health field since 2009 helping others find hope and recovery. Her doctoral internship focused on children and adolescents with mental health disorders including impulsivity control disorders, addiction, mood disorders, anxiety, and ADHD.

Kristen’s education started at Brigham Young University where she received a bachelor’s in Sports Medicine. She received a second bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Utah Valley University before finishing her doctorate at the University of Utah. Kristen is passionate about helping others find recovery through connection and relationships. She understands the importance of family dynamics in relation to individual growth and enjoys helping families through the process.

Growing up in Southern California, Kristen learned to love city lights and beaches. Most of her childhood was spent playing in the water in California and Lake Powell. After moving to Utah, she fell in love with skiing although she will still jump at any chance to swim, waterski, or scuba dive. In her spare time, she loves to ski, fish, camp and travel with her family.
