We feel honored to be a part of the adventure of Cascade Academy and every girl that has the opportunity to spend time here healing, gaining tools, confidence and new friendships that will launch them down their next path in life.

We left Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and moved to Midway, Utah to assist in bringing this venture together. Many have asked us how we could leave such a beautiful place as Coeur d’Alene. The short story is very simple. We met with and spent time with John, Carol, Caleb and Raylene and listened to their hopes and dreams of Cascade. Then we walked the halls of this beautiful home that had already raised, cared for and protected many children. We spent some time in Midway and felt the peace and calm of the town. Having worked with many teenage girls over the years and experiencing life with people who live with anxiety we feel it is important that these girls living with extreme anxiety need to be in a place that deals with this specific condition. We don’t want them to get lost in an institutional feeling facility dealing with multiple conditions. They need to be in a place that feels like home and family. All of the pieces aligned that being a part of creating Cascade Academy is where we needed to be.

We are happy to be in this beautiful town of Midway, working with girls that quickly become a part of us. We are sharing and implementing all of the things we have learned over the 35 years of helping youth make positive changes. We are once again back home enjoying all of the fun activities Utah has to offer. We are taking advantage of living close to our extended families, 5 children and our 10 grandchildren. We are proud of the work that is being done here at Cascade Academy and look forward to bringing a piece of the puzzle that becomes your daughter’s life story.
