Bekah is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor who has been working with teens and families for over a decade. She earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology from the University of Utah and a Master of Science of Professional Counseling from Westminster College. Bekah has also served as an adjunct professor for Westminster’s Professional Counseling Graduate program, having taught classes such as lifespan development and professional ethics. Prior to Cascade Academy, Bekah managed clinical teams in various settings including hospitals, outpatient and residential programs. Her passion is helping young women navigate crucial times of identity development. Bekah’s clinical training is founded in relational and cognitive models such as Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Exposure Response Prevention. Bekah appreciates the entire organization’s dedication to excellence in the therapeutic services at Cascade Academy. She looks forward to helping students and their support teams address issues within a supervised environment and apply those successes to other areas of their lives. Bekah enjoys developing new hobbies and currently enjoys gardening, cooking, camping and boating with her husband, two kids and two dogs.
