Are IEP’s, 504’s and other accommodations honored at Cascade Academy?

IEP’s and 504”s will be honored and accommodations implemented for your child. Additional accommodations such as: verbal testing, notes for tests, and reduced number of questions may also be implemented depending on the individualized needs of the students.

What if my school district funds the placement?

Regular IEP meetings will be held with your child’s school district. We will provide progress reports as requested.

What if my child has a specific learning disability?

The curriculum will be modified or adapted to meet their needs. In addition, they will have access to one-on-one tutoring and individualized support.

College and Career Prep

What support will my child have in preparation for college?

Cascade Academy will assist your child in the search for the ideal college. We will support them in filling out their college applications and completing their college essays. Prep courses and testing for the SAT and ACT will be given at our local high school.

Are career assessments available?

Yes

Are AP, honor and college prep classes available?

Yes. High School college prep courses, AP and honor classes are available.

Executive Functioning Skills

If my child struggles with executive functioning skills such as: impulse control, emotional control, flexible thinking, working memory, self-monitoring, planning and prioritizing, task initiation, and organization, what support do you offer?

Cascade Academy offers individual assistance in making and keeping goals, breaking down assignments into manageable portions, initiating and completing work, and accommodations and assistance with memory issues. In addition, our certified teacher(s) will model and teach the essential Executive Functioning skills.
