IEP’s and 504”s will be honored and accommodations implemented for your child. Additional accommodations such as: verbal testing, notes for tests, and reduced number of questions may also be implemented depending on the individualized needs of the students.
Regular IEP meetings will be held with your child’s school district. We will provide progress reports as requested.
The curriculum will be modified or adapted to meet their needs. In addition, they will have access to one-on-one tutoring and individualized support.
College and Career Prep
Cascade Academy will assist your child in the search for the ideal college. We will support them in filling out their college applications and completing their college essays. Prep courses and testing for the SAT and ACT will be given at our local high school.
Yes. High School college prep courses, AP and honor classes are available.
Executive Functioning Skills
If my child struggles with executive functioning skills such as: impulse control, emotional control, flexible thinking, working memory, self-monitoring, planning and prioritizing, task initiation, and organization, what support do you offer?
Cascade Academy offers individual assistance in making and keeping goals, breaking down assignments into manageable portions, initiating and completing work, and accommodations and assistance with memory issues. In addition, our certified teacher(s) will model and teach the essential Executive Functioning skills.
We offer AP and honor classes as well as online college courses. A test will be given to determine your child’s capability then curriculum will be developed and approved by our Academic Consultant, Clinical Director and you before proceeding.
We will review your child’s transcript and anticipated length of stay and decide with you what will be in the best interest of your child.
